When someone in your family has unexpectedly acquired certain kind of disease and you are caught unawares, most probably you will be overwhelmed by it due to the lack of knowledge how to take care and handle that particular situation. Life for everyone in your family can be a struggle. Good thing is that there are so many health care services nowadays that offer their health care services for people who need it, thus giving them the chance to live a normal life while also allowing the members of the family who are not sick to continue their lives.
Millions of people with some form of physical limitations are more likely the ones who will avail of health care services. However, getting health care services can cost you a lot of money especially if you are unprepared. Good thing is that Medicare – a social insurance managed by government to grant health insurance coverage for citizens age 65, is there to save them from paying too much on their medical expenses. The kind of health care services that the Medicare provides for people include outpatient treatment, doctors and other hospital services and other pertinent services that has something to do with the patient’s needs.
Health care services may include the employment of medical and health professionals to take care and oversee the facilitation of health care services for their patients. Some of these health care services can be done at home, such as performing some form of physical therapy that does not need a special kind of medical equipment. However, the hospital is still the best place to get the best health care services because this gives your doctor the chance to see the physical manifestations of your illness and therefore the chance of you being correctly examined and diagnosed is high.
It is a known fact that the health care services in the United States is one of the best in the world that’s why even the Europeans and Canadians come to the US to avail of these. Canadians in particular took advantage of this because of its benefits that includes lesser prices and great numbers of good hospitals that provides high standard medical procedures. Because of this, many Canadians travelled to the US in search for shorter hospital queues and better health care services. Another reason why Canadians seek health care services in the US is because there are certain types of health care services that are not readily available at the Canadian hospitals.
Health care services is not limited to the care of those who are infirmed, even if you are physically well, there is a chance that you might still need the help of health care services. They also make sure that major problems that has something to do with health and ailments are properly addressed and given appropriate resolutions. Basically they provide top-notch quality of health care services to their patients and that is one thing that they will not put into compromise no matter what. To provide better health care services, health institutions should have high-quality medical equipment and competent health workers.

Yes. If you have unlimited resources as an American you have the best health care in the world. If you are an ordinary citizen you simply don't. Even the average health care plan generally does not cover the basics like European systems do. All too often Americans find out just how under insured they are when sickness strikes.

That's important because when those people are lucky enough to stay healthy they will never see a problem whatsoever just as their fellow countrymen were just fine with their coverage before tradgedy happened.

This is the same thing as with the standard of living. Americans have a higher income on average than Americans but more detailed data shows it's the top 1 percent income earners that's responsible for the whole difference. Middle clas an poor Americans are much worse of than their European counterparts
That's ultimately what it is about
How is the most wasteful organization on the planet, the American Federal Government going to make anything efficient. Remember those $500 hammers and toilet seats purchased by the Pentagon The organization that Rumsfeld announced on Sept. 10,2001 lost $2.3 trillion in? transactions.
Why is it every bill out of Washington is a unconstitutional power grab of Americans freedoms. Health care reform yes, but not controlled by Washington, big mistake.
You people are clueless. Private health insurance companies decide NOW what doctors we can use, what treatments are allowed, where we can get treatment. Our infant mortality rate is about equal to Latvia. Health insurance companies, making record profits, dump you once you are too sick to work and cannot pay their ridiculous premiums. If you company lets you go, you have to go on COBRA and pay about $1,700 a month for family coverage from unemployment that doesn’t equal that. That’s me now.
Okay if you won't have any clinical skills or any managerial/administration skills, just what will you do? You'll have a lot of knowledge but nothing to do with it.
Health insurance is like all insurance, not just car insurance.
You can’t be a successful insurance company if you insure the inevitable. Even life insurance companies don’t know when your going to die.
Insurance is a bet against the unknown, but we all KNOW we will need healthcare.
This is one major reason why For-profit-health insurance can not/is currently not/will never work.
Its also ANTI-Free-Market (thats the other reason)
So let me get this strait RainyDay…The fat idiot people don’t have a right to change their minds in light of the fact the state run media has been in the bag for Obama since the beginning..& are just now waking up to the fact that Obama is a Radical Socialist.
Get real man…stop listening to Bill Mahr for your daily news.
Also I do believe you are the idiot that needs to open a HISTORY BOOK if you believe our three powers of government can’t change this country into a “Communist one”.
In any plan made by Clinton the only financial incentives are to put money in her personal bank account.
This is so pathetic. Do they want to do away with health inspectors in restaurants?
Do they think private insurance companies don’t ration health care to an egregious degree? Even if the gubmint WERE to go all dictatorial and make unfair decisions on who gets what type and how much care, isn’t it easier 2 vote public officials out of office than to get the CEO of your insurance company fired? Try 2 teabag their board meetings and see.
Stupid, greedy conservatives, feudal society advocates.
You need to talk with a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. Insurance companies and the plans they offer will vary from state to state and the premium with any one plan can vary by zip code.
At 22 if you are in good health you should be able to find a catastrophic plan for less than $100 in most states and a comprehensive plan shouldn't be much more than $100.
The agent will be able to explain what you need to know – there is not enough space here to tell you everything. You'll need to know about the deductible, the co-insurance, the co-pays and what is covered with the co-pay, what procedures are and are not subject to the deductible, what is excluded from the plans, which doctors accept the plans, the different types of plans and how they operate, the prescription coverage if any, and much more. There is no extra charge using an agent.
Here's something to think about: according to the census bureau, of the 47 million or so that are uninsured almost 10 million are illegal immigrants, 8 million make over 75,000 a year, another 8 million make over 50,000 a year, and 14 million qualify for medic-aid or medicare but do not apply. Hmmm. makes you think that maybe our system isn't so bad after all. So Obama needs to quit with his fear mongering and quit lying to us. There are a lot of unemployed, but 47 million is very misleading. Give us a real number!
Also the idea is that by giving health care to everyone, businesses don't have to pay for it, and then they can give more jobs, increase profit, and help the economy. Which sounds great, if you're stupid. Since Universal health care is insanely expensive, guess who pays for it? raised taxes on business and on the rich, (and apparently companies that aren't green). So it's basically a beat-around the the bush way to distribute wealth. And ask yourself this? Is it a good idea to take from from the rich? Take money from a poor man, and he becomes poorer, take money from a rich man, and he goes to work and fires his workers. So which is worse? MAYBE GOVERNMENT JUST SHOULDN'T TAKE PEOPLES MONEY!
Agreed, but America has a lot more to lose.
The rest of us either lost it a long, long time go or had nothing to lose in the first place.
Depends on the perspective. The "socialized" (please use in quotation marks) perspective is that users of health care are the community as a whole; thus, 'just' is defined as minimizing the losing individuals. "Free market's" views are that the users are individuals or groups of individuals; thus, 'just' is defined as maximizing the number of individuals 'satisfied.'
From both common political and ethical perspective, a child is often unable to contribute to the discussion of 'individuals to be lost' in "socialized health care" or 'user satisfaction' in the "free market." Given the assumptions that pediatric care is satisfactory for most children, "socialized health care" is more just because the intrinsic cost-of-life-saved would then be higher even though some children would fall through the cracks. HOWEVER, given the assumption above and also that the income difference between the richest and poorest people is minimal, the "free market" is more just because parents can decide what is most 'satisfactory' without too much undue financial burden.
OMG…NO!!!!!!!!!
You want the military to protect you from terrorists.
You want the police to protect you from burglars.
You want the fire department to protect you from fire.
You want the FDA to protect you from being injured or poisoned from stuff…? Wait, do you? Some of you don’t I guess.
But you don’t want a government health insurance plan to protect anyone who so elects to use it to protect that person from CANCER? Are you out of your fucking minds?
They have a 100 percent covered plan for them and their families for life (assuming they serve at least 6 years), along with an excellent pension plan for life.
They will care about the crisis if it is something the voters want! After all, if they are not acting in the interest of the voters, they will lose their seat and their health care plan.
Unfortunately, there is so much disagreement between the "left" and the "right" that it is difficult for congress to do anything. In addition, many people (even those who truly need health care reforms) vote based on moral values, leaving health care to be ignored.
Most insurance companies do give you insurance for the inevitable to a point. They may have sustain restrictions. If they knew for example you would at one time in your life say have a car wreck your premiums would be more. Most insurance is catastrophic, so the company is basically making a bet that you won’t have an accident if you may.
Agree health insurance does have its own problems since you mostly will pay for people who will constantly go to the doctors.
I agree with you a little.
Vcoverson bitterness will get you know where. set back and enjoy the CHANGE ride oh cuz its coming your way brotha!!!
What is going to happen is the Government is going to set the rates doctors can charge for services. Doctors cannot afford the rates so they will overbook people to get the most money they can so you will go to the Dr office and wait for several hours and maybe even have to return the next day. Dr groups will get bigger and overbooking will be even more and waiting will be longer. Just think of going to the Dr and there being 100 patients in the waiting room to see a Dr.
